We’re back from our second Spring Rally at Grand Oaks Resort in Weirsdale, FL — and what a trip it was! Set in the heart of Florida’s renowned horse country yet just North of The Villages and all of its delightful shopping and dining opportunities!

The Grand Oaks Resort is the ideal equine sports venue, as well as a venue for a variety of other sports. They have stocked catch and release lakes, a golf driving and chipping lane, walking and biking paths and nearly 400 acres of land that can be utilized for so many different sporting events.

Within the Resort is the “Grand Oaks RV Resort” which is more than an just a beautiful RV park — Your first morning at the Grand Oaks reveals the staccato sounds of horses trotting or the silent unfolding of a fly rod. You are enveloped in the distinctive ambiance offered by hundreds of oak-shaded acres in Florida’s scenic horse country.

What Did We Do?

So much to see and do in this resort! We enjoyed watching horses and riders training at the equestrian facilities or riding through the beautiful grounds, dinner at The Bistro — their onsite restaurant, entertainment by “Shelly’s Steam Punk Band”, exploring The Villages nearby, and so much more!
